Greenlight
We have started our
Greenlight campaign, so make sure you vote for us to secure our spot on the Steam Store. It looks to be going well so far and at this rate we should be in the top 100 quite quickly, but we still need as many people as we can get to vote yes.
Demo
We have also updated the demo that was submitted for the PAX Australia Indie Showcase, and made it available to download. The links are on the homepage as of this morning, and here is the video preview:
Music
We are happy to announce that we now have Azz Batic from Azzuro Arts working with us on the game music. It was a big help for the demo to have a reasonable length soundtrack with appropriate music and we look forward to working together on a better soundtrack, for the full game.
Other
Some last minute planning allowed us to display Formula C at the Adelaide's Anime and Video Games Festival (AVCon), yesterday. It was fun getting a range of people to play the demo and helped us find a couple bugs which have been fixed for version 1.0.1. Generally, people seemed to find it challenging but addictive. Some people spent a lot of time trying to perfect their runs and progressing through the tracks. However it's shown that it could probably do with a slower progression of the track difficulty, so that will be kept in mind for the full game and possibly for a future demo.
Comments on the Greenlight page have shown an interest in having Rift compatibility on Linux and Mac. Unfortunately for the moment Oculus has put that support on hold so it's more difficult to get it working. If more people ask for it then we will look into what can be done in the short term (I have started a discussion
here). In the long term and for the full version we plan to support all VR headsets on Windows, Mac and Linux but it could depend on the support provided by the manufacturers or on people like the ones working on OSVR to provide methods of achieving that support. That means that it might just take a bit longer for support of some headsets on some operating systems.
